School Life

We believe that the early years are critical in a child’s development, and our experienced educators are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to align with state standards, offering a balance of academic instruction, hands-on activities, and play-based learning that fosters social, emotional, and intellectual growth. With small class sizes, personalized attention, and a focus on building strong partnerships with families, our VPK program is more than just preparation for kindergarten—it’s a place where your child can grow, explore, and discover a lifelong love of learning.

School Hours

Students may arrive as early as 7:30 am and may be picked up at the latest at 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Instruction begins at 9:00 am, at which time all students must be at school.

Dress Code

All students are expected to wear their school T-shirt with navy bottoms and navy closed-toe shoes as defined in the school handbook. The last Friday of each month is “Dress Down Day” — on that day, students may opt not to wear their school uniform.

Hot-Lunch Service

Each month, our parents may pre-select dishes for their children from our menu calendar which features multiple daily specials as well as recurring favorites. All meals are made from scratch every morning in a nut-free and microwave-free kitchen with only natural ingredients (no MSG, no trans fats, no nitrates, no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial colors or flavors). Orders for special diets are welcome, including gluten free, kosher, and vegetarian. See the lunch menu.

Pre-K 2

We offer a warm and nurturing program designed for curious and energetic 2-year-olds! Our goal is to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where young learners can explore, play, and grow. Through hands-on activities, social interactions, and creative play, children develop essential early learning skills while building confidence and independence.

  • Social & Emotional Development
  • Language & Communication
  • Cognitive & Early Learning Skills
  • Fine & Gross Motor Development
  • Creative Expression
  • Sensory & Outdoor Exploration

We believe that every child learns best through play, discovery, and meaningful relationships. Our loving and experienced teachers guide children through their early learning journey, ensuring a joyful and enriching preschool experience.

Pre-K 3

At 3-years-old, the child’s curiosity is awakening and growing. By guiding them in their sense of observation, this develops into an interest in learning and, with time, love of learning. The main objectives of PK-3 are to ensure children…

  • learn to follow rules
  • develop their fine motor skills
  • recognize shapes, colors, spatial relationships
  • recognize numbers, and letters
  • separate words into syllables
  • sharpen their sense of observation
  • listening and following simple directions
  • recognizing numbers 1-10
  • counting through songs, games, and hands-on activities

The primary academic goal of this level is to educate the hand in anticipation of writing. Proper form is developed through writing exercises as well as painting projects and whole-body activities.

Pre-K 4 (VPK)

This level introduces children to the joys of writing and the beginnings of reading. From tracing and forming letters to recognizing and naming them, students in time learn to combine vowels and consonants. At this age, building early language and literacy skills comes in a variety of activities that incorporate:

  • engaging story-times with a robust library of children’s books
  • language, vocabulary, and phonological awareness
  • knowledge of the alphabet, concepts of print, and emergent writing skills
  • exploring nature, weather, and seasons
  • learning about animals and their habitats
  • understanding concepts of measurement (big/small, more/less)
  • simple addition & subtraction concepts using manipulatives
